Tesla’s India showroom.. a new breaking is on the way, Recently, Elon Musk had met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States. During that meeting, it is believed that discussions took place regarding Tesla’s entry into India. Since then, it has been reported that Tesla will make its grand entry through Mumbai and Delhi. Tesla will soon open new showrooms at these two locations. However, Tesla has not yet disclosed the start date for the showroom.
This showroom will be on the ground floor of the Maker Maxity commercial towers located in mumbai BKC(bandra kurla complex), with a total area of 4,000 square feet, and the rent will be 35 lakh per month. The rent will increase every year. It will be interesting to see when Tesla decides to open the showroom, but considering the growing demand for electric vehicles in India, we might see the showroom opening soon.
Thanks to the Indian government’s new electric vehicle policy, Tesla has received a green signal for electric vehicles in India. Previously, Tesla had approached the government multiple times for business in India, but due to some reasons, it did not materialize.
Earlier, whenever Tesla tried to enter the Indian market, it couldn’t take off due to high import duties. However, the government made that decision solely to promote the local Indian market, aiming to boost local EV vehicles and encourage people to give priority to domestically manufactured electric vehicles.
Tesla’s largest business is in America, and its total revenue is $97 billion. Along with America, China has also shown a strong preference for Tesla vehicles, making China the second-largest revenue generator for Tesla. and hence Tesla’s India showroom is almost confirmed now.
